Two calculators to help you understand your Rivian's real-world charging costs and time estimates. Personalized to your location, vehicle, and charger type.
Charging Cost Calculator
See how much you're saving versus gas every month.
At this rate you'll save $6,287 over 5 years compared to driving your previous vehicle.
Assumes home charging only. Real-world efficiency varies by temperature, speed, and driving style. Public charging costs vary by network and location.

DC fast chargers taper speed above 80% to protect battery health. Charging from 80–100% takes significantly longer than 0–80%. For road trips, stopping at 80% and driving to the next charger is almost always faster than charging to 100%.

A Better Route Planner (ABRP)
The calculator above estimates a single charging session. For full route planning with stop-by-stop charging guidance, real-time charger availability, elevation data, weather, and Rivian-specific consumption profiles, ABRP is the tool owners actually use on road trips.
Rivian recommends keeping daily charging below 80% for long-term battery health. Reserve 100% charges for road trips before a long drive.
Pre-condition before DC fast charging
Use the Rivian app to navigate to a fast charger — it automatically warms or cools the battery to optimal temperature, which can meaningfully improve charge speeds especially in cold weather.
Stop at 80% on road trips
Charging slows significantly above 80% due to battery protection tapering. On a long drive, stopping at 80% and moving to the next charger is almost always faster than waiting for 100%.
